January on the Left Bank: Paris Déco Off and Maison&Objet
Every January, Paris gathers the world of interior design: the showrooms of Paris Déco Off and the Maison&Objet fair, in the same week. Dates of the next edition, neighbourhoods and markers for planning.

From 13 to 16 January 2027, Paris Déco Off opens the showrooms of fabric, wallpaper and interior design houses, on the Left Bank around Saint-Germain-des-Prés and on the Right Bank around the rue du Mail. From 14 to 18 January 2027, Maison&Objet takes place at the Parc des expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte. The two events are independent, but they fall in the same week and are read together: one is explored on foot, from showroom to showroom, in the centre of Paris; the other gathers exhibitors in the halls of a trade fair, north of the capital. For an interior architect or a decorator, it is the week when, in a few days, one sees a large share of the publishers who matter for a project.
Paris Déco Off: showrooms rather than a fair
Paris Déco Off has no single venue: it is the houses that receive visitors at home. The event presents itself as the gathering of international interior design houses and decorators in Paris, with publishers of fabrics, wallpapers, trimmings, furniture and lighting.
The showrooms are spread across two sectors. On the Left Bank, the route is concentrated around Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the place Saint-Sulpice; on the Right Bank, around the rue du Mail and the place des Victoires. During the 2026 edition, the sixteenth, free shuttles linked the two banks from the place des Petits-Pères, Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Saint-Sulpice, nearly 150 creators and publishers took part, and entry was free, with a late opening on Saturday evening.
This format changes the way one looks. In a showroom, one sees the pieces in a setting conceived by the house that publishes them, with its own lighting, and one can ask to touch, to unfold, to compare. For a rug, this is essential: the colour of a wool and the density of a pile are judged by touch and in daylight.
Maison&Objet: the Villepinte fair
Maison&Objet is a trade fair for interior design, design and the art of living, held at the Parc des expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte. The January 2027 edition takes place from Thursday 14 to Monday 18 January.
The theme announced for this edition is “Sensory Shift”, an invitation to slow down in order to feel more deeply, and the designer of the year is the Briton Paul Cocksedge, both designer and artist. The fair is aimed above all at professionals; access conditions and registration are on the official website.
The house knows this fair well. Diacasan presented its first collections there as early as September 2001, a few months after its creation, and it is on a stand of this kind that, year after year, the network of a publishing house is built: architects, decorators, retailers, agents abroad.
How to organise one's week?
By separating the two geographies. Villepinte requires at least a full day, given the journey and the size of the halls; the showrooms of Paris Déco Off are visited by neighbourhood, one bank per half-day, following the shuttles or on foot.
The two events overlap from Thursday 14 to Saturday 16 January 2027. On Wednesday 13, only Paris Déco Off is open; on Sunday 17 and Monday 18, only Maison&Objet. Those who come for a specific project gain from preparing their list before setting out: the houses whose new pieces they wish to see, the pieces to touch, the samples to request.
For a rug, the most useful thing is to see the techniques side by side: a hand-knotted and a hand-tufted rug differ in weight, suppleness and the way they take the light. The differences are detailed in hand-knotted, hand-tufted, and the way to conduct a rug project with a publisher in the rug in an interior architecture project.
The Left Bank, address of the house
The Diacasan showroom is on the rue du Bac, in the seventh arrondissement, on the Left Bank. It was redone in 2023, for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the house, in a scenography by studio Messieurs: limestone arches, niches that return each rug to its own light, and at the back an oval MINOTOR Cuivre by Christian Signorel. The rue du Bac scenography is presented among the realisations.
There one sees the collections hand-tufted in India, such as MINOTOR or PAINTINGS, and the collections hand-knotted in Nepal, such as SUR LE FIL or NEPALESE RUGS, as well as part of the GRAND NORD furniture. The craft of the house, which chooses the artists, the materials and the workshops, is explained in what is a rug publisher. Opening hours and appointment arrangements are on the showrooms page, and all the pieces on the collections page.
Opening of the Paris Déco Off showrooms: Wednesday 13 January 2027.

When does Maison&Objet take place in January 2027?
The January 2027 edition of Maison&Objet takes place from Thursday 14 to Monday 18 January, at the Parc des expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte. What is the difference between Paris Déco Off and Maison&Objet?
Paris Déco Off is a route through the showrooms of the houses, in the centre of Paris, on both banks; each publisher receives visitors at home, in its own setting. Maison&Objet is a trade fair that gathers exhibitors in the halls of the Parc des expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte. The two events are independent but take place in the same week of January, and many professionals visit both.
Where is Maison&Objet held?
Maison&Objet is held at the Parc des expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte, north of Paris, in Seine-Saint-Denis. One must therefore plan the journey and, given the size of the fair, at least a full day's visit. The showrooms of Paris Déco Off, for their part, are in the centre of Paris, around Saint-Germain-des-Prés on the Left Bank and the rue du Mail on the Right Bank.
