Lukan Lounge Chair Terracotta

Christian Signorel looked at a stag beetle and saw a seat. The Lukan lounge chair is born of this shift in perspective: four solid legs that anchor the piece to the floor, rear uprights extended like the beetle's antennae, a backrest that stands apart. The form holds in a low, round note, set in the room like a sustained chord.

We publish it in solid oak stained walnut, upholstered in cotton velvet stretched by hand by an upholsterer in a workshop in Italy. The upholsterer's work shows in the tension of the velvet over the wood and in the precision of the seams that follow the curve. Four colorways extend its reading, from deep velvet to golden light.
